Power window switch(Console)

I need to replace the switch on my VT Calais. I read a previous posting and they said it was just a matter of prising the switch block from the console with a small scredriver. I have tried this but it does not seem to budge can someone give me a more in depth desciption on how to do this. Any help would be much appreciated

Easy!!! Auto or manual. I will assume Auto.

The surround that the Switch block is mounted to, is the easiest way in.
Remove rubber mat in front storage section of console, directly under 12volt socket. Once factory rubber remover 2 screws either side of the 12 volt plug, remove.

Now gently lift the whole inner console section from the rear section, there are 2 pressclips about 20cms along each edge and position lugs, that hold the inner console section in place. It will "pop" from the rear with the right amount of pressure. On manuals it is easy you grab the inside of the gearboot surround for leverage and the inner just pops out and removes to the rear. With Auto, I am not sure how you will get upward pressure on centre piece.

Once it pops, th powerswitch block will stop it from coming out smoothly. This is when you can manipulate and press the powerswitch block out from underneathheld.
Easier to get the block out this way and leaves no marks on the interior trim, just need to push centre console inner back into place after change over and replace screws.

Depending on how long it takes you to figure the 'pop' bit out with the inner console, it should take less than 30mins to do the job and clean up.
