hey people
my air con doesnt seem to blow hot nor cold air out, does it need re gassing ?
my car is a 1997 vt berlina, cheers
btw there isnt any smell of vapor or anything
sounds like a vacume leak check the vacume hose at the back of the engine intake manafold
sorry, let me refrase that..
when you turn the fan on it does blow air out, but only room temp air, when turned on hot or cold neither come out.. it just blows air in your face..
hmm ok than yeah it sounds like you ethier got no gas or something has gone wrong with the compressor eg oil or something....dosnt sound to good id get it checked mate
or you got a faulty relay and it not tuning on the compressor...does the wheel at the front of the compressor cut in when u turn the ac on??
mine has done the exact same thing recently and im trying to track down the problem , there is no click" from the compressor when i push the ac button , all fuses seem ok and there is no smell, im off to have it tested in a few minutes ill let you know ,

ok it turned out to be a bad compressor , so he put another one in and regassed it and it now sits on 1 degree brrrrrrrrrr , but another problem turned up , my fan only works on high now , any ideas how to fix it so i can access all 4 speeds

i had this issue turns out my fan motor died. $120 for a new one and works great.
yeah mate you have to replace the fan resistor which is located behind the glovebox in my vtseries 1 i believe , there is a explanation on how to do this in one of the sections here ,hang on here it is
" VT FAN SPEED RESISTOR
REMOVAL
1. Open glove box
2. Using a large flat blade screwdriver pry the black pin, found inside the left hand side of the glove box, out.
3. Remove the glove box by pulling slightly to the driver’s side and out.
4. Remove 5x screws from the glove box surround trim on the left hand side of the glove box area.
5. Remove glove box surround trim, should just about fall out.
6. Remove 2x screws from inside the ˝” holes located at the left hand side dashboard door duct trim on the left hand side of the dash.
7. Remove 1x screw on the same dashboard door duct trim located inside the triangular air duct above the main duct.
8. Remove dashboard door duct trim.
9. Pull passengers seat fully back on its rails.
10. Locate and remove 1x screw on the passengers side trim on the side of the center console.
11. Remove 3x screws holding this same center console side trim on at the right hand side of the glove box surround. (The two lower screw and one located underneath)
12. Remove trim.
13. Undo 10x screws from glove box surround. 4x at top, 2x bottom, 2x right and side at top, and 2x left hand side outer (located behind the dashboard door duct trim).
14. Drop glove box surround down.
15. Remove 2x 1 pin clear electrical plugs from glove box light.
16. Remove 2x 1 pin black electrical plugs from glove box light switch on the right hand side of glove box surround.
17. Remove 1x 2 pin white electrical plug from boot release switch.
18. Pry 2x cable hold down pins from rear of glove box surround.
19. Remove glove box surround.
20. Unplug 1x 6pin plug from the rear of the fan speed resistor.
21. Undo 2x large head screws from the fan speed resistor.
22. Remove fan speed resistor by pulling towards you approx 3.5”.
REFITTING POINTS
1. Make sure all wiring is reconnected.
2. Fit the left hand side of glove box first watching the locating pins, then push the right hand locating pin back in once aligned.
