Got a nice annoying problem with my VT II fitted with LSD.
I have a clicking noise from the rear of the car (diff area) which increases with frequency when i increase with speed. Can notice it more at slow speeds/near idle because cant hear **** over the exhaust.
Sounds like a metallic clicking sound.
Anybody come across this before? Im resigning myself to the fact it may be a case of ripping the diff centre out?

Think the additive is called 1098 by Sturacco? It is a friction modifier and is recommended by Holden...it is already premixed in the better synthetic diff oils like Penrite/Mobil/Castrol.
I just changed to the Penrite Syn 80 and it has settled the diff chatter in my lsd...previously i hadn't used the additive and it sounded like it was going to fall out round carparks at slow speed!
