Thinking about selling my wagon to get a camper van and do a lap of Aus!
What do you think a realistic price might be?
Series 1 97 VT 5.0L 5speed manual lsd wagon
120 000 kms (though the original owner had their Holden dealer replace the engine at 97000 due to a fault in the bottom end..so has a rebuilt ac delco engine fitted just over 2 years ago). Full service history , totally stock except i had it lowered on Eibach springs and adjustable Koni shocks.
I've had it 2 years, never spun the wheels, no fault codes and had no problems.
Anyone had good experiences putting a car on ebay??
Cheers

lets say 50,000ks then?
youd would be lucky to get around the 4 - 6k mark
the wheels, suspension, lights ect... mean nothing to the buyer and dont add value. (youll never get your money back on most mods)
cough!..scuse me while i cry into my cornflakes at that price!
its true though mate, when it comes down to it its a 11 year old car, being a wagon you might get a little bit more for it. But dont expect more than maybe 8k
I reckon it's alright, dunno if people would go for a v8, but 5 speed manual lifts the price + wagon + low km's = have a crack at 9k on carsales network. If no one is ineterested, you can always start dropping the price. Ebay is great for getting plenty of interest, but i reckon people aren't willing to pay as much on there as on carsales etc.
Cheers lads..prices have dropped a fair bit more than i'd realised!
Will have a go on carsales and ebay..might even keep her!
Since we are asking about what a car is worth, how about mine;
VX 2000 Executive
Factory Electric Windows, Factory Berlina Alloys, Berlina (factory) Woodgrain gear shifter plate with chrome interiour doorhandles, shifter button and handbreak button. All parts are genuine Holden, no aftermarket.
135,000km
Cheers lads...something to think about. I'm in 2 minds as to whether to hang on to it.
As you say Farlig I could travel in it...bit easier to put the kettle on in a camper van tho!
