    Default Undoing Cooler Lines

Mechanic has overfilled my transfluid a few weeks ago, and i wanna drop it out. It seems my cooler line bolts are stuck, any advice for loosening them ? I am turning them anti clockwise facing engine but scared i may kink or damage the metal lines......

    Thanks.

your better of taking it back to your mechanic. they did it they should fix it. you dont want to make things worse.

I dont wanna take it back unless i have to, I only need to drain a litre. I will eventually flush all the fluid, but its currently too high in level.

The guy who did it is usually very good. I gave him 4 litres when doing my trans change over and few other things. He told me is still needed another litre. SO as i startign adding, when i got to 300ml, i realised it was already too high. I just need to drain a litre or so.

Don't undo that one, undo the one that has a hose clamp on it, currently doing the exact same thing to a VY SS, on the right hand side at the bottom front near the radiator is where they have a little rubber hose section, undo the hose clamp holding it on and bam done.

Can you do a little sketch ? It seems like the metal tubing continues on to the radiator, its been tie stripped to something. I can see the rubber hosing only on the pipe that runs to the engine..... So where it connects directly to the radiator, there should be a rubber hose clamp ? That would be easier....i need to have a look, thanks heaps....you sure thats not the power steering ???

AHHHHH ok now i see i guess you can try to hammers one on the backside of it and hold against it then lightly tap the other on the side of the pipe to maybe break up the thread sealant if any was used and try to spanners and keep trying..

Yeah, must have been the guys who did the radiator, maybe used some tape on it. Been ages since i pulled a radiator..I will hit it with some WD-40/Inox and see how it goes....turn clockwise, or otherway is what i need to know.

Thanks heaps Bogan...when i was applying force either way it moved. Now i can support one side with a seperate spanner(smaller nut and thread that is screwed onto).

OK, facing the engine, the bolt has to be turned to the right to loosen it. I got if off. Following the diagram i post number 12, funnily enough the one with the hose on it, when i put a hose on that one(pipe leading to radiator, instead the fluid came out of the hose coming from the transmission, what a mess it made grrr, is this correct ? Its the return hose, but the fluid coming from the trans ??? But that darn pic he is draining it from the hose where it didnt come out when i turned on my engine.....
