Default A stupid question but...

I recently got a commodore off my mate. The vin number says March 02, so does that mean its a series 2 VX? How can you tell the difference?

VX from Aug 2000 to Aug 2002

Last SI VX built on the 22/8/01

First VX SII built on the 23/8/01 serial number in the VIN = L763647.

That should help you a bit

I think most sII VX came out with a seriesII badge on the boot, though never go by it as you never know whats been replaced.

If it has vertical bars on the grille its a series 1 if it has criss cross( sounds gay ) bars then its a series 2
