It seems to be in top notch condition, but are their any last minute checks i can do to be sure before purchase? Ive tested all the electrics, all works, checked everything out, engine sounds like its running right, its had some belts and stuff done and the guy services it every 5000-10000kms.
Tis done 160 odd thousand kms and getting it for a few grand.
little brother just grabbed one that sounded very similar, had a roady and 11 months rego for $4100. Had a few more k's on it but might give you some thoughts on what they're worth - although it's different everywhere.
Check around the panel joins for surface rust, under the back window for rust or signs of the black strip lifting. Not a whole lot else i don't think. Are you getting it with a RWC? it'll help a little bit.
Comes with a RWC and 12 months reg and an exhaust and some other bits and pieces for 6k. Seems in pretty damn good knick. When i go see it tomorrow ill be sure to look at those places, any other sort of little things like that which could hurt me down the line?
sounds reasonable. see if you can knock them down a bit - the car is 11 years old now. I don't know a whole lot more, just a few things i looked into when Nath picked up the VT.
I doubt he will drop it, mainly because its coming with nice rims and stuff. But ill try and talk it down if he decides to keep the stereo etc etc. Some of the prices ive seen for those cars are stupid. 250,000kms and people still want 8-10k for an Exec.
I thought this was a bargain, its got full electrics, an SS kit with foggies, rims, exhaust and some other bits done to it.
