Hi Guys,
I am omly new to this forum. I have recently bought a VT berlina wagon. The car I had before this was a VS Wagon. I am a little dissapointed in the performance of the VT compared to the VS. I know the Vt is heavier but the performance loss is really quite bad. The Vt has quite a bit less off the mark amd doesn't feal near as responsive as the VS. Has anyone else noticed the same???
Some go good, some go not so good, a lot of it has to do with how the engine was run in. Since the wagons are more of a family orientated car they are, more often than not, driven around nicely and politely as opposed to a younger driver in a commo sedan. You also get this in the VS range as well but on average they are still a bit quicker because of the weight difference.
But you do get some VT's that will suprise you, and give the VS's a good run for their money.
How many K's on your new wagon? maybe it's time for a good thorough check up and service.
Its a 98 series 1. Its showing 135k and has full dealer history. It runs smooth and very quiet but you seem to have to put your foot down a fare bit to get it going. The VS seemed to be responsive with very little throttle.
I just upgraded from a VR V6 to a VT V6 and noticed a difference.. The VT just feels slower off the mark..
The VT already had a sports exhaust when I bought it, but since I have put a K&N panel replacement in, it has been more responsive... was worth the $99![]()

I also have a VT Berlina Wagon & a VS Berlina, I have found the VT a bit sluggish.
But the VS has, extractors, full exhaust, chip, cai & is a bit lighter than the VT Wagon.
So I am going to mod the wagon the same as the VS, & do a diff gear change, That should liven it up
Cheers
