Hello, I just read about this like 2 days ago on some gen III performance site, supposed to go harder with it running back in the manifold without going through the throttle body that's all I know about it just what I read the other day. More research needed : )

From www.installuniversity.com

Purpose: This modification will eliminate the heated coolant flow through your throttle body. This will cool down your throttle body, which in turn decreases the temperature of the incoming air. This will hurt cars in cold climates or during the winter months. However, most (USA) southern states will not have a problem with this mod during the winter.

This will not harm your motor unless you live in freezing climate but does give car lower air temp when disconected resulting in more power maybe 1-2 kw so hang on tight.
