Default The bull and her horns

I've never really wanted to use the horn on the VX today until i met this van otw back from lunch. Serving in and out of the lane like a bat out of hell.

So from this huge VX, a pathetic 'BEEEEEEEP' was the only sound I could manage. Can i upgrade this to a larger horn? The type of horn that even the dead can hear when i use it? I went to the (gasp!) mercedes dealer and they actually have decibel ratings on their car horns. Watever they are selling i know it will be loud. Can i just retrofit this car horn and can the sound from a pathetic beep to the roar that this holden should have?

I can access the horn and the wiring and i found a model that will just drop in with minimal modifications. what do you guys say?

You will find a plug on the opposite side of the car to where your horn is to which you can connect another horn, giving you 2 horns. Preferably using a horn with a different tone to the one you already have.

I prefer bonnet mounted 9mm machine guns that pop up and out facing forward, and hell-fire missiles that fire from the fog lamp...oh and a flame thrower instead of a horn is always cool....sigh....

Yeah I have noticed some pathetic horns on cars...my sisters is a "meep"...

One thing I would like to know...The speaker for the horn, is that a speacial type of "water proof" speaker? or could you use any speaker? Wouldn't mind connecting it to an amp...

A good set of triple air horns even gets the truckies attention, blows away little old ladies and make chidren squeel lol, run a relay from the battery and use the wire from your old horn to activate the relay.
As Jazza15 said, get a train horn. I have one from queensland rail, the loudest sucker I have ever heard.

Get yourself a nice loud one that resonates at The Brown Note... otherwise one at about 375-400Hz is a good accompaniment for the standard horn.
