filler, primer and painting questions

hey folks,

so im near up to painting my car, i have painted a couple doors before, but along time ago now.

i was just wondering if filler will stick to paint ? or will it only stick to primer or bear metal?

can i apply more filler ontop of dry filler ?

a bloke who used to be a car painter told me that i only have to knock the shine off the paint, and that i dont have to prime the whole car before painting it ? i know i have to paint the filler.

the color my car is white, and i plan on painting it tiger mica gold.


what color should i use as an undercoat for the tiga mica ?

you should knock it back to metal where u wanna use bog ..and if theres no imperfections like crows feet and rust coming threw the paint u can take the clear back and paint over it .. but u will need to prime the filler
