I have a 99 vt commodore and atm i am painting the rotor/calipers. i was just wondering if there are any sensors that mean the car wont start when its jacked up. I tried to put accessories on and got nuthin, could it be the batterry??

There are no sensors that will prevent the car from starting. Maybe some aftermarketr alarms have that ability, I don't know. The battery sounds like a good place to start. Check and clean the terminals because it would have to be pretty flat to get nothing at all. I'm assuming you are not getting any dash lights when you turn the ignition on.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

If it were in drive he would get dash lights If you open your door and the interior light doesn't come on, it's a flat battery...Or a non-connected battery

If the interior light comes on...Check your fuses, ALL of them

thanks guys, checked the battery, disconnected the terminals etc and had a fiddle with a couple of fuses that looked a bit average and replaced them and bingo everything working again.
