VT series 2, 99 holden sedan
Was driving on open highway on a hot day and smelt fuel in the cabin of the car. Stopped the car and released petrol cap and released a lot of pressure. It wasn't long after, that on putting the window down I could smell fuel again.
Since getting home I have taken off the canister and checked it as per the manual and everything is fine with that. The only thing I couldn't get off was the purge solenoid. The petrol cap is not very old and seemed to be working fine. I have replaced it anyway.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what it could be.
Thanks Dave
check fuel hoses in the engine bay for splits?
There are no splits in any of the fuel lines.
Thanks anyway.
Dave
