Hey vorn, are the skirts the same grainy plastic that is on non-colour coded cars? Or is it a smoother fibreglass type material? I would like to paint mine too, but I'm not sure if I just paint over the grainy plastic thats already there..

They come standard as that grainy plastic Denno. I re-sprayed mine black but for the reason that it suits the car.
You just need to sand them back smooth if you want that look.
Color coded suits the white car.

How hard is it to paint them yourself, and how expensive? or is it cheapr to take it to a paint shop? I assume you'd need an airbrush gun?

its all in the prep work.

hardest part is taking them off
trickiest part is preping / sanding, priming ect...

You can use a gun to spray them but its just as effective and easy to grab a few cans of your color mixed from autobarn for like $27 a can.

I thought genuine paint was expensive? My colour is cinebar which is a metallic, so do i have to do a clear coat and all that?

I've checked the guides but cant find one relating to this.

Might go to the wreckers and get a cheap bumper of a ford to test it out on eh? :P
