Default VX SS Front bar modification

Had an idea, didn't have a big sheet of perspex to work with. So tried it for looks, when i get time I might get a bigger sheet of lexan and make one up the full width of the front bar. So far not hit it on anything, the prototype is perpex so will crack easy, when i get some lexan sheet it won't, that stuff is bullet proof, but expensive $200 for the size i need.

What do you think ? bit different is all i'm after, i don't like to be the same as everyone else. also added the chrome for something different.

(thats not a scratch either, beats me some reflection of something..)

that looks killer. Well done i love it, it fills up that gap nicely and separates it from the rest of the ss kits

Thanks, i tried to blend in the curve of the sides to continue to the middle.

would be good if was wider so it went right around the sides but not poking out at all. but that was the widest bit of perspex i had at the time.

it was heated to mold the shape, as the bottom of the bar actually slopes upwards.

seems to help with cooling pushing more air up.

need to spray that mesh black again, got blue on it when i resprayed the bar. used to have the thick type mesh, but i reckon that stuff reduces air flow, so fit some fine mesh.

probably i've hit it before without that on.

hence why i want to use some lexan instead of perspex. Lexan will not shatter like perspex will.

I have another one made at home that has a small crack just from the jigsaw cutting it.
lexan is bullet proof, and can bend it in a circle without it cracking.

Next one i'll make I'll do a little less drop in the middle. One day after i finish another head porting job, and get a dual core radiator. I'll go back to this bar project and prototype 2..
