side strips chromed?

Hey guys, just a quick question, im wondering if the side strips in vt's are sold chromed? or how much it would cost to get a set chromed. The strips that in the middle of the side pannels that cover the screws.

I attached a pic to show what part im talking about (sorry about the cables everywhere, i can take a better photo of what i mean tomorrow if people dont understand what part i mean)

clearly you should use some aluminum foil.

I just painted mine aluminium with clear coat for protection.
If you want *shiny bling bling* you might have to get them chromed.
No idea of electroplate costs though

damn, i was hoping no one thought to change the colour of them yet . i might grab some from my local wreckers and see what i can come up with.

i did a "how to" remove door card & speaker grill a few weeks ago, while i was at it i did the strips aswell

its still not finished, the grey trim to the right of the grill will also be done when i get around to it

if you wanted to, you can get some chrome spray paint but the problem lays in wear & tear.... it needs some coating and the best coating is clear coat. clears gunna take the shine off the chrome paint anyway so the best option all up would be to have them electroplated
