VT Series 1 odometer backlight

hey all...

just wondering what the amperage of this light is?
the one in my vt has blown and it's most definitely not the standard.

these lights clearly dont come out of their housing as the rest of the lights in the instrument cluster do...

where should i get one of these globes from? somewhere like autobarn?

should i just replace it with a led? is it just a matter of buying a led replacement and putting it in? or would i have to play with resistors and such things? thanks.. andy

Actually the globe does come out from the clusters housing its exchangeable just like the rest but isnt the same as the rest of ur clusters globes, it uses the same globe holders as ur switch buttons (hazzard, LPG, Power, Trac ect....) only thing is they use a slightly taller holder but u can still use the others it wont effect the lighting in any way.

U can get bezels from dick smith or jaycar and use the existing globe holder or u can go 2 holden and get the globe, tho they will charge u like $6 4 the dam thing which is a rip 4 wat they r.

Id personally go LEDs y not? they do last longer and u can change the colour if u want aswell which mean puttin in a resistor.
