Default VX SS auto-transmission setting help

I have a VX SS which I have had for about 18 months and not really driven much, due to too much work.
I have been to Brisbane a few times lately from nothern NSW and have noticed the following:
When I hit my foot hard to over take it cuts back, does the nice growl thing but seems to bounce back to drive too quick. It then seems to bog down so I kick it again, it takes off then if I do not keep it hard to the floor it wants to come back too early to drive again. This is an EX-Chaser, is there any mods on the Police Pursuit Cars or is there a software mod that can re-map the gearbox settings. I am OK with it but it really gives my wife the s**ts as it throws her around when it cuts in and back again.
I am still getting the feel for this car and your help or input is important guys.

Hi Lumina01
I do not know if any settings have been changed. Would I go to a Holden Dealership or performance tuner?

go to a perfromance tuner. get a tune and it will make ur shift points much better as well as make ur car more powerfull. Before i had mine tuned when i floored the car it used to slip into gear now it slams in much nicer even gets a bit sideways.

I went to the local Holden dealer and asked the mechanic there about adjusting the settings. He gave me a blank look, don't think he has ever worked on a VX SS or any SS, so I will not be going there. (small country town) Will have to wait until I go to Brisbane next.

OK will try them, they are at Newstead in the city in Brisbane. Probably will not get there until after Christmas. I am going to Newcastle in two weeks to see my folks, might also try down there or at least ask someone.
If I ask a dealer mechanic a question and he hesitates then I know he is Bull S******G me. They should either know or they don't.
