    Default dirty underbody

g'day - own a vx2 s & have just been out cleaning it. here's the thing the underside has caked on dirt in the arches, in the back bumper, everywhere! I have had to drive over an unsealed road 4 times a day for the last 12 months - Just hurry up & finish the effing road already...

2 quick questions 1. how can I clean out the side skirts particularly at the back - can I simply unscrew those endcaps in the front of the rear wheel arches? & 2. Does anyone know of someone in Adelaide who does undercarriage cleaning?

I should send the bill to the construction company so they can pay for it....@#$%!

quickest and easiest way is to jack the car up, remove the wheel, remove the plastic gaurd cover and you can get in behind the bumper from there.
If theres heaps of hard tar, just soak it in turps for a minute then scrape and hose it off.
to finish the job properly you can get some sound deadner or black paint and re-spray the arches

High pressure hose will do it nicely. If you don't have one, you could probably hire one for a couple of bucks, or borrow, or ........

thanks for the tips guys -

I have got a karcher but the stuff in the skirts all turn into mush & just sticks between the skirt & the body around the opening by the back door - will probably wait until it fully dries out again then try with the outdoor vacumn that I've got then just wait until holidays to drop the skirts off while the car is up on axle stands - just a right pain in the ....

You try to look after your car & if you really appreciate what you have as I try to do, you get really annoyed by others incompetence. As you can see from the time of my post yesterday I was out cleaning the wheel arches & inside of the rear bumper by hand until midnight - swept the garage and bagged it this evening - weighed 5 1/2 kilo dry!! 1/2 filled a white shopping bag - ba#$%@^'s!!! this is after only 4-5 weeks...
