    Default Electric mirrors

Anybody had a problem with the electric mirrors only working sometimes? I notice that both will move to the left, but won't come the other way, and will move down, but not up. I am thinking dirty contacts in the switch!
Does the toggle switch just lift out or does the bloody trim hafta come off?
How reliable are everybody else's power mirrors?

Does the door cover have to come off? or can the switch just be prized out without taking the inside door cover off?

If it's like the VP you can just pop it out. Grab a knife and see if it pops out. The door trims are easy to remove so if it doesn't pop that.

youll need to remove the door trim to unplug the harness.
alternativly you should be able to get to the harness by removing the inside door handle.

Thanks for all that, the detailed description from Ozzie was terrific, couldn't go wrong.

BUT, I have got the switch working again by spraying some CRC contact cleaner in behind the toggle switch nob using the small spray tube used for those hard to get at places. A few good squirts and a bit of jiggling around and it started to work again.
