I've recently bought black altezza headlights for my VX Berlina. I am unsure how to go about removing my current headlights and putting in the new ones. Is there anyone out there who can give me detailed instructions on how to go about doing this? Is there anything I should be aware of before attempting to put them in?
I can't afford to pay my mechanic to put these in at the moment and I am going crazy having them sitting there while not being able to put them in so I want to try do it myself.
Any help would be much appreciated.
well i had to take my front bar completely off to put mine in.
pretty much just unplug the stock lights, unscrew them and swap them over.. pretty easy mate.
will look effin incredible as well champ, im thinking of doing a vx calais/berlina front conversion somewhere down the line..
hope this helps mate

Hi, thanks for the reply!
I gave it a go but I've run into a problem. I pulled out the two screws, then removed the grill, pulled out the third screw and then unplugged all the wires behind the headlight but it still doesn't come out no matter what angle or how much I pull on it.
The headlight is loose so I know there are no more bolts, but it feels like something in the middle is still attached to it and not letting me pull it out. I tried for one hour and I can't see anything that is still attached to it.
Do you have any idea why it's not coming out?
There are 3 screws and one hold down tab from memory.
Looking down at the headlight, you should have one on the top and one down behind the headlight, there is also a hold down tab on top toward the centre of the car. Looking from the front with the whole front bar off, there is a screw toward the centre of the vehicle. With all plugs out, it should come free.
Yes there are three screws holding the tabs of the lights which should be visable if you have removed the front bumper. You also need to unclip the indicators and the main headlights then they just pull out freely. One word of advice i would give is that you need to adjust the altezza lights up otherwise they will shine in other drivers eyes etc.It pays to take note where the adjustment screws are for each light as they are harder to find when installed. In any case they are a pain to adjust but well worth the trouble....
Thanks everyone for your help! I didn't realise the whole bumper had to be taken out but once I took it out, the headlights came off quite easily.
