Pull the battery reset it. See how that goes. Worst fuel pump is toast. But that trip computer with lines sounds weird. My pump is toast and i can still measure fuel used average etc even without knowing what's left.

its done it 2 or 3 times before and come good a day later but not this time its been like that for a week now all the other gauges work fine and all the other digital readouts work fine just everything is stuffed when it comes to the petrol side of things does anyone think it could be the sender unit.

    yes its the sender unit.

they wear out, early ones you could buy this without the pump, it attaches to the side of it. however if thats worn out pump maybe not far behind it, buy both as one unit.

the sender is like a sliding resister working off the float to vary the voltage to the gauge.

Holden only sells the single 1 part now from Series 2 for all models VT-VX. I'm doing mine soon it's about $300-$450.
They say they only last 50,000-150,000km. I haven't heard this issue with VY cars ?. Be nice if we could stick that set-up into our cars.

That's about the same price from holden... Delphi used to make Holden ones. So they are a great brand to use.

VTII-VXII are the same unit. For some reason holden made 2 units. VT-VX series 1's were the same. It's really silly the way they did it. But now they only do the one which fits all - And should have been like that from day 1..
