trouble starting

ok 80% of the time it starts first go but if i stop it then try to strat it it takes a bit.
it will vary from trying to kick over then nothing or nothing at all i have to turn the key on and off again approx 10 to 15 times b4 it fires up im thinking the starter motor(most obvious guess) any ideas?

its possibly the starter motor or the battery.
