Always disconnect the battery when working on air bag related connections. If you unplug the seat belt pretensioners, air bags, sensors or instrument cluster without disconnecting the battery it will result in the airbag light coming if you turn the ignition on and the only way to reset it is with a Tech 2 (a trip to Holden).
The airbag light will also come on if there is a fault in the system.

i heard that you can drain the electrial system comptetly with the 2 battery terminals disconnected but putting a screw driver between the to delete all faults does this actually work?? and would it work for this?

You can clear the codes by just disconnecting the battery for a short time but this does not apply to the airbag light.

usually if the airbag light comes on, you might have a slight problem with the airbag somewhere. might be in the module! take it to holden and get them to look at it. might be nothing!
