so i have posted a thread about my problem before and i thought i had solved the issue then a few days later it started happening again..
the problem was when i flooor her or she wants to start to spin the wheels or when i jus rev it in neutral and it gets back to low revs it starts to cough and splutter and die in its back end.. then all of a sudden picks up and takes off...
you guys suggested plugs n leads so ive done that put all heavy duties in etc. but i was on the "brisbane commodore car club" site and joined up etc etc and just decided to ask there and one of the guys suggested coil packs??
just checkin if you guys think this could be the problem?
also estimates of how much to fix??
cheers in advance fellas

Could be ****ty injectors.. Old VP was shocking until i replaced them. But i didn everything else first lol. Elimination or mechanic.
Coil pack is very simple and cheap to replace 2nd hand. New expensive..
I had a little chug down low, Replaced mine 2nd/hand it picked up a touch better.. There is 2 bolts under the coil pack, And 1 wire. It's that simple to remove.

Coil packs probably the go mate. Batty the coil pack is in place to eliminatate the need for a distributor and coil. Its basically a dizzy and coil in one. the the little square thing, at the front of the motor where the leads come out. Not hard to miss, has numbers 1-6 printed on top of it.
If its not working, you're not hitting it hard enough.
As the other guys said, best bet it to replace all 3 packs. Buy them from Supercheap or Repco etc. Buying Holden direct is a ripoff. Aftermarkets the go bro![]()
