i have been reading through some of the threads and i am trying to work out a list of parts needed.
Tremac t56
manual crossmember
manual tailshaft
pedal set up
manual loom & ecu
hydrolic master and slave cyclinders (including lines)
center console parts
now i am not sure on the gearbox as they are for the l98. what flywheel, clutch, starter motor, and bell housing do i use? does the flywheel bolt straight up to the ecotec crank?
has anyone got a t56 v6 vt or vx on here?
You will need to modify alot of parts to get it to fit as well as needing a custom bellhousing. I have a T5 in a VT. The cross member needed modifying, the tailshaft needed to be shortened as well as the correct yoke fitted. If running a cable clutch then you need to mod a VT pedalbox for cable. Not sure on the T56 but the T5 uses a different kind of speed sensor signal to the auto and getrag. T5 uses a square wave signal. Auto and getrag use induction. I would be using a series one VS Ecotec flywheel and getting it match balanced to the flexplate that came off the motor. This is very important to ensure the longevity of your motor and to avoid vibration issues.
