    Default Cruise control directional sensitive

Ok, First of all, Im not crazy though it may sound like it lol.

Our cruise control has become directional sensitive, It will work from Sale - Traralgon(West, Slight north) no problems, but will not work on the way home (East, Slight south), even If I turn around on the highway to confirm my suspicion, it will stop working immediatly. It's not just that road, Sale to Maffra (North, slight west) it works fine, but for the return trip (South, slight east) it wont work. Have also tested it around town, and same results, works heading North/west, but not South/east, WTF!

When I say it wont work, It wont even bring up the "cruise" light on the dash.

This has got us stumped, and thought it was quite comical.
If someone has a solution that would be excellent, but mainly posting to share the story cause its quite amusining (for us anyway)

Oh course it will stop working if you turn around, unless you do a uturn at 100k's. As soon as you press the brakes it turns itself off.

lol.... No i slow down, chuck a u-turn get up to speed and it wont turn back on. Not speed related either, wont work at any given speed if it doesnt want to work.

Electrics are weird. I don't think its got a compass on it and direction sensitive. So if you do another uturn it will work again?

Once i came home, and my other cars lights were on. The car hadn't been moved or started for weeks, so it was quite weird.

Yeah... If I do another u-turn it will work again. Its got me stumped, the only thing I could possibly think of is if it uses magnents or something. ****ed if i know but its confusing.

Check the wiring harness. I'll bet (assuming we don't believe in little green men and ley lines) that there is a slight difference in the camber of the road which is enough to flex a dodgy wire. how on earth you check these with CC I have no idea. Perhaps just check them for corrosion.

    THE CAUSE HAS BEEN FOUND!!!!

Turns out that where had an intermitent fault in the rear tail light, which we did know about, was just a dodgey globe that worked when it wanted to. Anyways we got round to fixing that globe, and cruise control works perfectly all the time now. So im guessing cruise control wasnt working everytime the brake light wasnt working.

Wierd? yes.... How did it only do it in certain directions? I have no idea
