    check out redbook.com.au

and fill out what you know about the car (eg. v6, sedan etc.), and you may filter the results down to a couple of cars

hope that helps you out a bit

if its got no options, is obviously an exec. if its got traction control button its an acclaim, if its got power windows its a berlina, if its got fog lights its a calais. bit vague, but hope it helps. and yeah, vin number tells all.

Judging by Kurhas's post, its a 1997 VT Executive sedan.

Not always true though, as mine has all of the above and is an acclaim, whiles its a good general rule it does depend on who you bought it from

Exactly, the K in the model code (and the VIN, I'd imagine) points to the car being an Exec, all you need to know
