You just take off the air box, I think it's held in by two nuts. and you'll have the take the AFM off the air box and mount it somewhere.

    But you're wasting you're money. Get a K+N instead.

Unless you set up a shield with a ram intake, you'll just suck in more hot air and be worse off.

    Put simply, yes.

You will start the car as per usual and put it into D.
Your right foot will gently go down on the throttle and the rear tyres will scramble for traction as the extra horsepower tries to make its way to the ground. Tyre smoke will billow out of the guards enough to set off the alarms at the local fire station and molten rubber spews out behind you, putting grins on tyre dealers faces.

Sorry about that. I had a K&N pod in the stock VT airbox and I didn't notice any difference at all. When you stop and think about it, if a standard filter is capturing as much dirt as possible with a given surface area, a filter with the same surface area that flows more will catch less dirt?
I know they are two different types, the oil droplets on the K&N will catch more dirt, but this decreases orifice size eventually, thus reducing flow?
If it's only $100 bucks to try another avenue, what are you waiting for?

This is discussed all the time (pod filters, pod filters vs. panel filters, how to install them etc.). Do a search if you want to find out more?
