hey guys
just wondering if any one can shed some light on why a subaru rs 2.5 litre non turbo car can keep up with my vt 3.8 litre s pack. both cars weigh pretty much the same vts are around 1350 and the rs is around 1320.... the rs has only 4 cylinders and the vt has 6. both cars are stock by the way. i know the vt has a better top speed but when we both took off at the lights my mate in his rs kept up with me...when we both hit 80 kms (which was the speed limit) we backed off. but i just cant believe that his rs kept up with the vt??
Arent VT's around 1500kg? 1320 is the weight of a VN.

VT's are a fat barge a$$. Thats why the RS kept up.
Executive sedan with V6 (kg): 1512

hahah welll not that we have all that out of the way....i think its time to ask what can i do to give my car that extra omph and make it go vroom vroom better?
1. A cold air intake (not a pod)
2. Exhaust upgrade, a catback will be ok, but if you have the dosh get some pacemaker headers
3. A tune (memcal) preferably done by someone on this forum (ebay ones are a ripoff).
Thats about all you wunna do, anything else will be a waste of money, those 3 I meantioned will give you best bang for buck and are not hard at all to obtain.
Best of luck.
Sell it and buy the equivalent VS model.

Don't get an SS reduction.
Just go to holden and buy their standard CAI system.

As many as you want, but there is 2 common goals:
amount of flow.
colest air possible.
I run a 100mm flexi tube from the side of my airbox straight to my front bar.
Btw, there are ALOT of thread about all the items ive stated to do, cai, zorst and tune. Give it a search and all the info is covered.
