Exclamation PLEASE HELP!!! *URGENT!* - VT Electric window problem!

Have a VT Senator. and my drivers elec window wont go up. Its currently stuck down! And ****ing with rain!

The switch seems to be ok. tried the other side switch in that door and still does the same thing.

Its clicking when i try to put the window down. but its all the way down. it does not click or move when we try to put it up.

Is there a way to put it up? Im currently 2000km from home. so can fix it when i get home!

    cheers
    Jason

yeh i have taken it off. (the trim).

cant see any problems. im wondering if maybe its gone down too far. and has jamed. but the window glass is not tight. so its not jamed glass. it doesnt click when i try and put it up. but when i try to put it down the regulator does click.

wondering if its a stuffed reg.

While you have the trim off, connect 12 volts directly to the regulator motor terminals. It doesn't matter which way you connect positive and negative because one way the window should go up and the other way the window should go down. If nothing happens, the motor is cactus.

    cheers heaps for the replies.

    BSM that sounds scarey.....

im 99% sure its not the switch as i tried the other side switch on the side that wont go up and does the exact same thing.

will give the 12V to the terminals a go.

if i have no luck i will be pulling it out and worring about it when i get home. a block of wood wedged in there should keep it up till then...

thankyou again for the quick replies.

    GOT THE WINDOW UP!!!!!!

Just jumped it straight off the battery.

im 99% sure its not the switch but will test the switches when i get home (2000km away)

Is there anything else that it could be? BCM?

Perhaps the BCM or the wiring in the rubber boot that goes from the door to the body. Sometimes the wires are a bit tight in the boot and from the constant opening and closing of the door, wires can break.

it could be the main window switch in the centre console which can short out internally which would make the rear switch not work
