    Default how to remove gear knob on vt auto

    hi guys does anyone know how to remove an auto gear knob on a vt auto?

    i think just the phillips head screw at the base of it, towards the front pull it back to first so you can get into it, unscrew it, should pull up, not 100% sure, never done it haha..

    to remove it you have to take out the console surround and one side of the console to knock out the pin holding the button in position, then the whole knob will be able to be taken out, Just read this:

    Isnt there a screw infront as mentioned earlier, just slides off i think.

    In the how to section with the shifter, does anyone know which wire is the lights for the console?? I want to splice a wire onto it. Cheers.

    As sxc sound said, you have to remove the sides of the console to knock out the pin that stops it from coming out. The side of the console is the bit that is added on and goes from the glovebox to about half way along the console.

    thanks sxc very helpful, now i have it off does anyone know how much a new plastic thing that noves up and down with the gear stick is? and one of these as mine is brokenhow to remove gear knob on vt auto-a7ce_1.jpg
