cluster globes

The lcd display globe has commited suiside. I called Holden and they want $16.50 for the one globe.

Is there any other way i could get a cheaper one apart from LED dash conversion?

Would globes from VS clusters fit... they are they same although the globe sits a bit lower

u can buy the bezels from jaycar 4 a couple bucks u'll just need 2 re wire them onto the globe holder tho and then put the green condom like sleeve over it.

i reckon we should look at one at the wreckers and pull one out to see, im sure they are common, just no one knows what type they are.....

geez i didnt realize holden wanted so much for them, both my side ones have gone so i only got the middle screen working but for those sorta dollars it will stay like that

yeah its a rip off.. i bought some from the wreckers off a VS cluster because i couldnt find a VT/VX cluster.. ill try it tomorrow see if it works.

Got mine from repco, just take a sample with you and ask for something similar, then just match it up coz they have a few diff ones. Can't remember how much they were but I bought some coz they weren't expensive.

The only type they have at repco and nearly all auto stores r the 1ns 4 the cluster as they r the T5 wedge type, the LCD screens r different and have there own globes wired 2 the globe holders, best place 2 get them is at an electrical store.

I rewired my whole dash with BLUE LEDs its not hard get about 50 ov them off ebay for about 20 bucks. if you have a weekend free and some real basic knowlage of Circuits and LEDs you will be sweet.
