hey all
my 98 vt wagon has just clocked over the 150 000k's mark and one day it was working fine and the next it wont start.
i put the key in and turn it on and the engine turns over but wont start. i had a mate look at it and he says there is no sparking happening from the spark plugs... i dont know a hell of a lot about cars and any info would be appreciated
check your coil packs on the front top of your motor which the spark plug leads go to.My sisters VT worked one day then didnt start the next it was the coil packs.Wanted to start but just turned over.If they are good check leads.
Also could be ignition module. Did the car develop any sort of misfire?
Also check for corroded plug leads and coil pack connections.
this is all assuming that the battery and alternator are still aok.
I recently installed a sub/amp system into my car, put the key in, turn it, everything comes on but the engine doesn't start.
Takes a few times of turning the key and eventually it goes, thats either battery or key but unsure for which. Suggestions?
Ok i cant find the how to on replacing the battery in the key, anyone know where the How To is because i couldnt find it for a VT/VX.
