My mrs younger brother has come up here for Xmas (11hour drive) he has a VU SS ute with i believe with the T56 6spd. He has lost all gear selection. He only got the ute back last week after getting it fixed for the same fault. We stayed up north for NYE so its been flatbeded to an RACQ depo 2 hours away and is now locked up till Mon.
I think what has more then likely happened is the split pin has fallen out from where the socket for the shifter goes onto the selector rod at the shifter end, or worse the split pic at fork end of the shaft..?
And no, its not a clutch fault, the stick can do 360 deg spins. Any thoughts? Has anyone seen this fault before?

Ah, so it seems Holden knows about this fault...! No doubt I could fix this to at least get him home, but the thing is 2 hours away locked up at a RACQ depo....
