What does "Over Speed" mean?

To be honest, I had quite a bad night and decided to take it out on the roads.
Did quite a lot of stupid things, mainly speeding.

When I got home, I noticed a light on the dashboard that said "Over Speed" in orange.

I'm not too sure what it means. However, I have a general idea.

I've got a 2001 VX S

On my VP its simply the speed you set so a warning sounds. As soon as you go above set speed, the warning goes off.

Oh I see.. didn't even realize I had set a speed. Perhaps I should pay more attention to my speedometer. Not sure what speeds I was hitting to be honest. Just floored it to escape from reality =(

Not sure if yours is different, but you have to physically activate mine! So you should know if you've done something (or it was set so high that you've never hit it before)

On the VTs you just set it a say 115 once you go over this speed it beeps at you to slow down dont have to turn it on or off just set the speed.

It goes off when you slow down below the set speed though, so not sure why you'd still be seeing it when you got home?

Press "mode" till it says O/speed in the display, then you can adjust it with the arrows.

Oh, and cars + bad emotions = bad idea

pretty sure it beeps again at 40ks over the set speed:P

yeh if you do more then 15 k's over what you set it at it starts flashing at you. Just an extra warning i guess

mine is set to 175 and ive hit it

forgot i had it on one night when i went to test n tune, goin like the clappers then i hear this beeping, i shat myself cos i didnt realise what it was till i looked at the speedo lmao

i just turned it off the first week it was just anoying always going off at me
now it dosn't do a thing have no idea how i did it though

lol didn't even realize it beeped. Music was blaring too loud to hear. Bad emotions + maniac driving + loud music = death wish. Found it as a new comfort though. Like a fix.. and it's damn addictive but it's not good.

you can turn it off and on.
It beeps when you reach the speed you have set it at (goes in 5k incraments).
the words overspeed will still flash until you drop below the set speed.
Chech your manual.

press mode button untill O/Speed or watever it is shows up on ur dash, when it shows, press the 2 arrow keys together and hold them both down untill it beeps, u have turned it off now
