any idea on the price?
Matt
Perth
where abouts do i start or........
hopeless me, haha
ive been looking around for the same answer but for a VT 2 Exec.
so far i have gathered that you will need:
The module
the stalk
the brake switch
a fuse in the fuse panel
if you have a plug hanging from the wire harness on the drives side shock tower then you shouldnt need any wiring looms - it should all plug straight in and work.
if you dont have that plug, you will need the entire cruise control wiring loom to make it work and possibly a different BCm (not 100% on that though).
i have not yet found a satisfactory answer if there is a loom to go into the steering column or if the stalk is just plug and play.
This is the info i have pieced together so far after asking numerous wreckers, forums and people in the know.
without actually buying the unit and plugging it in to see if it does work (as i have the plug already) i cant be certain this info is 100% correct.
cheers buddy,
I will have to check for the plug coming from the wire harness. but this won't happen till end of next week as i'm away..........with work : (
I've been thinking of getting cruise control put in for some time now but from what i've heared is mixed stories. some say cheap for a few hundred bucks and others say up to a grand!! thats not from an installer but just general chit chat but i can't guarantee fact or fiction on their stories.
holden should have just put cruise control into all cars from atleast 2000 onwards!!
everyone else did....
will have a check anyway and attempt to solve the riddle
cheers
Matt
keep me updated on how you go.
it seems theres a lot of heresay on the subject but no hard facts - like no one has done it before.
one person will tell you its a major job and this and that will need to be done yet another person will tell you its all plug and play.
When funds are looking a bit better, i will be give it a shot on the VT and see whats what.
