Take your reciept for the car and any any other proof of ownership with the chasis number to holden and get a new remote
"Take your receipt for the car and any any other proof of ownership with the chasis number to holden and get a new remote "
You will also need to repair the ignition barrel to reconnect the key reader
its not that simply holden want the car and she isnt complete i just wanted to see if the motor fires up or not. i have the receipt from pickles where i purchased it from but they want the car.thanks
once you have replaced the ignition barrel you may be able to get a locksmith to come to you and program a remote
There's really no easy way around things like this mate, you will just have to get a new key with head and get it programed to the car! The way i see it is you have a few limited options, either get the car on a trailer and take it to holden to get it all sorted or get a locky to come out and see what he can recommend or do! Also the reason the car wont fire even though you crank it is due to the fact that when the security is engaged it cuts power to the injectors! Also if i remember correctly you will also have no spark!

yeah this is the reason why i brought a holden![]()
glad to hear its a bitch to start when u have space and a workshop of stuff
We could tell you how to start it but how do we know you ain't a thief trying to figure out how to steal a car??? Holdens will get you a key if you provide them proof of purchase and pickles should be ok. As for the car not being complete well thats not an excuse I think they would give you either. Get a barrel from a wreckers and put it in the ignition if it's a problem but don't ask people here how to start a car without a key cause no one will tell you, sorry.
If you really have to take the car to Holden, why not use the same means of transport as you used to get the car from Pickles to where ever it is now??
which VX was it?
Read it this way guys.
I have scored this hot hsv (or stolen it) I have no keys and tried changing the computer and starting it with a screwdriver but it didn't go. How can I get it running so I can cruise in my nice new hot HSV. I really recommend no one tells him how to get it going because if anyone believes that holdens wont touch it even though he has proof of purchase they are kidding themselves. Sounds very suss!!!!!
Sorry if I'm wrong but people have tried this trick on here before and there is no way that I can believe that holdens wont help you.
This is also the second time he has started a thread like this. Tried last year with a vx ss so if you got that one going why can't you get this one going????
"I Have Recently Purchase A VX Hsv From Pickles Auction But It Didnt Come With A Car Or Remote"
Well if it didn't come with a "Car" what did you get? Just out of interest how much did it cost to get a car that "dosn't work".
the VX HSV has an additional security system & even with a programmed remote it wont go until the remote is programmed into the ISS, dealers need the car to do this
PM, me i can get it going for you.

when I gave my first reply, this was from experience from when I bought my Vp berlina from a car yard minus the remote ,but I couldnt understand why holden needed janhdt car to fix the problem unless the dealer is a bit sus of anyone asking about security remotes for cars or they a bit dodgey and trying to charge money for something that can be done at home
Does anyone else think this sounds suss? The steering column is broken and it has no ignition barrel plus he has tried mucking with the computer to get it going. It sounds more and more like he has scored a stolen HSV from somewhere and wants to know how to get it going and even more suss is the way he asked the same question last year about a SS, I would be very carefull what advice you give him on this because if it is legit then Holdens will sort it out for him!
On the same subject I just want to remind everyone to be very careful when using your remote head because if anyone is near by they can record and duplicate the signal without going into any detail though ,I found this out when I was replacing the remote for my VP ,I went to a certain retailer to buy a product which they said they had 8 of according to their computer, but when they checked they found all of them had been stolen , more than likly by car thieves so be wary !
Could be that the guy did legitamitely purchase the car from the auctions. I got a VP from the auctions a few years ago that was fully worked over. V6 that was very modded, and had no doubt 30k of performance parts on it. as the story goes, if the vehicle is not recovered before the people are payed out by insurance, then the insurance sells the vehicle at auction for whatever they can get. and even if it was previously stolen, as long as it is a clear title at auction, it doesnt mean a damn thing.
You would no doubt find that the stolen keys were sold on eBay. I ran into a kid year before last who "sold" 300 transponder keys on eBay, each for about $4. pity he never had any in the first place (scam). last i heard he was having a little chat down the station.
As for the rest of it, if it was legit, there would be no problem. try another holden dealer, or ask somebody with half a clue.
