Default Check drive train (possibly caused by new exhaust?)

Ok so just a couple days after getting my full exhaust fitted I get the check drive train light eliminated on my 2000 caprice. After googling this I found this at ls1 Aahhh No!!!!!!! Check Drive Train Light - Australian LS1 and Holden Forums so if its an o2 sensor I then googled that and got this Oxygen Sensor - Blowing - Australian LS1 and Holden Forums so I am thinking maybe it could be a problem caused by the new exhaust I have had fitted. Can I just let this problem go without changing anything and just get a tune later down the track?

i got the guys to chuck my otrcai on at the same time they done the tune... im getting the tune re-done somewhere else though, ive heard the original place isnt the best and the new place ive seen some figures what others have put out... you wont be able to run the maffless intake without the tune

well i paid $800 for my alloy intake but thats coz im a shithead and wanted the blingy one haha you can get cheaper plastic ones that do the same job... then my maffless tune was $1100 coz i had to get new plugs and a coil pack too... totally different car to drive though! with 15/205's sit on bout 60km click it back and punch the throttle it will spin no worries for a fair distance

I have no dought about that, I can really notice the difference just from the exhaust upgrade. I can’t imagine it with a tune and intake upgrade aswel, turn it into a real beast.

    Cheers 4 your help

had the same problem with mine. u probably need new 02 sensors as getting a new exhaust burns them out our somthing like that. All that happens when u get a tune is they turn the warning off.

isnt that just with the tech2? with the maffless tune they remap everything to be able to cope with the change in airflow

yes they do but as far as i know the o2 sensors get damaged by the exhaust paint stuff that gets burnt off onto them, causing them not to work correctly, hence causing the warning light on the dash. I got mine switched off before i had it tuned just in case somthing else was going on with the car and it was ignored. If you notice an increase in fuel consumption try getting some new sensors.

no i haven’t really noticed an increase in fuel consumption. I am a bit unconfutable taking it back to my Holden service centre. My last service I think they leaked something over the alternator and a week later I had to get a new one for $700.

    Cheers
