I'v just put in kings SL all round with KYB shock and she ride fine. Haven had pedders myself and didnt like the prices they wanted hence I got mine through a mate on trade price so got them alittle cheaper.

i've always gone kings over pedders coz pedders are just rediculously priced. its **** easy to change over springs

Thats what I hear aswell.

Pedders even told me Kings are just as good as there. if they were not then they wouldnt be a big seller.

i had only herd it when i was speaking to someone from kings but he was only the warehouse bloke.... but he had said that the spring fro pedders were made at the kings factory and sprayed red...

I was told that pedders are slightly stiffer over kings. Price wise $380 for 4 springs fitted to the old VP. Pedders wanted $500+. Over 2 years ago. I wouldn't dare ask pedders how much for the VT.

just 4 springs alone? seems a bit cheap, sure thats labour costs 2? mine cost that much in parts alone which included SL king springs all round, monroe shorten shocks, nolthane sway bar link pins and new nolthane front strut tops.

Don't waste your time with Pedders. I wasted nearly $700 on the rebushing the front end of the VS. 'Pedders' bushes lasted just 12 months and now need doing again. Kings and a set of Monroe GT 'sports' are what I'll be putting in when I have the money.

I got a got a quote on lowering my car with pedders gear. Nearly $2000. That's shocks, springs and a camber kit. You can buy all that alone for $800. You can't tell me there's $900 worth of labour involved.

How much ar ethe full rubber kits on ebay? im sure i seen them for like 360.

I asked pedders how much for my old vs stato too have it fully redone I supply the bushes they wanted 1700+ a 5 point camber kit for 595 on top

i did thats y i posted n said it seems 2 cheap as scooter said parts alone r around 800 and thats trade price. I was gettin quoted $2200 + camber kit from pedders all up and they r clearly over priced compared 2 others so not sure how u got it so cheap i should have got my parts from them if thats the case lol

I haven't used anything but pedders and i'm happy with the results. I had pedders sports ryder in both my vt and vy and it was good. The prices were pretty good too.

From whats I seen and even tested 2 pedder's suspension places and the prices were totally diff. 1 was for a wheel ali $110 and the other $65 for the same thing. I did a test an took me car for 1 of there suspension checks $14 and both pretty much came out with the same thing but the price diff was bullshit. there was easy 1200 diff between them

Yeah the prices that have been posted are pretty high. I never paid anywhere near that for mine.

You should be able to get a pair of springs for about $120. Anymore and your ripping yourself off.


And yes, they are made at the same factory. Here its called industrial springs. I just had mine custom made, so their blue, but identical to king and pedders (saw them coming off of different production lines when i was there)

what shocks do people normally use when they install king springs? munroes ?
Im trying to decide what springs to use when I get my VY SS ute.

Well I got KYB all rounds and they seem fine an smooth. Have been told there better then munroes but each to their own I guess. This is comen from autobarn. But then got them thro trade price aswell so got them cheaper aswell.

Ive got king lows all round with pedders sports ryder heavy duty shorten shocks in the rear.Rides great & get no scrubbing with 5 people & full boot of gear in it.Shocks were $350 no fiitted did it myself best money i spent.Car scrubbed on all bumps before.

what king springs are you running? as in what height? Super Low? Super Super Super Low? etc.
