Default Anyone actually installed a camber kit and any tips??

i have searched buy most people say just get a professional to install it as its a really hard job and worth the money, fair enough that would be good but trying to find a mechanic that is willing to do the job is a different story. any tips pics or ideas? have bought the 46138a kit nolathane.

EDIT just looked inside the kit does actually have some instructions lol, but still pointers if there is any tricks?

if you have a hoist its pretty darn easy. I did this to my VS, and the VT setup is almost identical. is it a 4point or 2point kit? 4point kits give you camber and toe, 2point kits give u either camber or toe. i beleive if you install it on the outer edges of the car it does your camber, and inner mount point (near tailshaft) does toe. if you have a 2point get another 2point and do them both at the same time, heaps more adjustment, which will make your alignment process heaps easier.

    4 point:

remove your rims, release the handbrake cable from the arm on the rear hubs. do 1 arm at a time, undo the bolts at both ends of the arm. and it should drop/pivit. to remove the original bushes u can use the tool to remove them, i ended up drilling 6 holes in the rubber then used the tool and she come out **** easy. pop your new bushes in, bolt up and screw them up, but not tight! and repeat for the other side.

then you'll need to roughly adjust it so the wheels are relativily straight up and down, until you can get it done for a professional alignment.

    2 point:

Same process as 4point but your only doin either the outer mount points or inner mount points, but still drop both mount points of each arm which makes life a heap easier!

    Good Luck

just make sure you get a wheel alignment after putting the kit on dude, i let it slide because i didnt have the time to and it chewed through the tyres in a month.
