just wondering if its possible to hook the controls off a vx sterring wheel (track next, etc. etc.) on to my vt series 2 sterring wheel? or do i have to grab a vx steering? suggestions?
The controls will fit onto the VT steering wheel but getting them to work will probably be more difficult.

what does it involve? it seems as if its a straight swap however im not confident on the electrical side of things...
Are you hooking them up to a stock headunit or an aftermarket one?
at moment im running an aftermartket headunit....some jvc one that came with the car when i bought it. which is another hurdle along the way. does anyone think its possible to even get the controls working on a vt? the s pack didnt come with it i was hoping that i had all the connections there it was just plug and play?
Not quiet plug and play, you need an aftermarket Steering Wheel Control Interface, which takes the signal from the steering wheel controls and the converts it into a signal that brand of headunit accepts. The most common SWI is "The CAT" but it is massively overpriced, about $250 or so I think. You can get one made by No Limit Electronics for $120.
