    Default Power Loss in VX

    Hi Guys,

I have a VX Series 2 Executive Wagon. In the last 2 weeks i have had 2 occasions when i went out to the car in the morning and the power was off. On the first occasion I had to open the car manually with the key and then as soon as i put it in the ignition and turned it over it started and all the power was back up. The Radio had a CD error and the time was about 6 hours delayed.

The second time I came out to the car and the power was on, but when i turned the ignition on it did nothing. About 5 sec later all the power came back on and stayed on for about 5 sec and dropped out. I then turned the key again and the car started. The Radio was again off and i had to put the code back in again to activate it.

About 1 year ago i had the Crank angle sensors replaced cause it was stalling, but it has been good ever since.

I have checked the battery(even though it is only 6 months old) and it is fine. Does anyone know what may be causing this problem.

check inside the battery leads, if you have a amp then you can get dust build up, that happened to me and that was the answer?
