parked my vt ss at work yesterday in a new spot ,(on a funny angle with the arse end pointing down) any away i started her up an the petrol light came
on with the old warning sound,
i didnt think any thing of it as i new there was at least 1/4 of a tank left,
after driving along the gadge went back to normal BUT this morning i was
driving along an she started coughing an then just cut out, after about 30 seconds of crankin away we go again, it has happened about 4 times today
but after the first time she starts strate away, i have put some injecter cleaner in the tank.
now would any one have any clues as to what might be going one here.
cheers and thanks
5l or 5.7?
dodgy coil packs, crank angle sensor or maybe if your really unlucky dodgy wiring.
just drove from southport to coolingatta an it frated about 4 times
3 of which it cut out 1 time i chucked her into neutral an gave abit of a rev an she keeped on going .
on the way back didint cut out once
have also put in some petrol cleaner from the same brand as the injecter cleaner
i have my fingers crossed that it is just shit in the tank
also it is a 5L
just thought i would update what happened
got it all fixed after cutting out at a major set of lights (always the way no f*&kin one helps aye, commodores are bloody heavy to push up hill by yourself)
needed a new petrol pump, petrol filter , and a new crank angle sensor
any way seems to be running sweet now (touch wood)
crank angle sensor on a 5 litre? please explain!
