VT won't start ???

My 98 VT died on the highway after a split water pipe, got it towed home, replaced the water pipe and now I can't get it to start. When I turn the key it just makes a clunk sound and the negative battery terminal gets extremely hot.
Any ideas on what might be the problem???

sounds like a jammed starter motor maybe?

try getting a new battery.

Id be checking your negative connection to the car body, both at the battery end and where it connects to the body.

Ensure it's both clean and tight. Where was the coolant leak?

sounds like you cooked your motor and seized it,
remove your spark plugs and try turning motor over by hand.
keep your fingers crossed but I don't like your chances

well you were spot on lout....I had a mobile mechanic out yesterday to have a look and yep the motor is seized....farkkkk
