vx v6 to v8

hi guys i have a 2002 S2 vx spac auto and i am wanting to upgrade to a v8 motor either the 5.7 or 6L manual if possible if any one can help with business names of places i can get this done preferibly brisbane.

Any mechanic can perform the transplant mate. Shop around, talk to different workshops about it. Its a big job. The next qusetion is , is really worth it. It will prob work out cheaper just to buy a ss, clubby and sell your rig. If your real keen on doing the tranplant though, it would be easier and more economical to just buy a wrecked ss 6spd and go from there. Then you can sell other parts off it ie interior, body panels etc.

I don't know of any places to recommend but I have to agree with benno145, it will cost a fortune to have it done by a mechanic. You will also need to upgrade other things as well, the transmission to name just one. The only way it would be feasible is to buy a wreck for the parts and do the work yourself and even then you will need plenty of money. Save the headaches and buy a car with a V8 already installed.
