advice needed!

had my vt for a few months now. had the muffler cut out and got 2.5' straight pipe right through. sounds good but i heard it wears your engine down. is this true?
and im open for suggestions on mods for my car. its already on sports ryders and comfort gas shocks. im looking to get the glue on white walls for my interceptors. any one know where i can get them from?

i can tell you now if its a straight pipe from the end of your extractors/manifolds it will rust out the exhaust. see the reason cars have cats it because they trap and expel condensation along with other functions so if you take them out you can catch condensation in your exhaust and rust it which will mean in a yr or so you will need a new exhaust again besides that no i havent heard anything else bad

is it just the muffler cut out or the catalytic converter too, because if your missing that then your exhaust is illegal lol..... emissions control stuff...
