boost gauges

hey im just woundering how boost gauges actually work i have never owned a supercharged/turbo car befor so can u help???

You run a length of tube from the back of the gauge to wherever you want to measure boost from, in our case there is a nipple on the lower intake manifold just under the blower. The level of pressure whether it be vacuum or boost moves a spring inside the gauge housing which moves the needle.

sweet, im about to install mine tomorrow and found that the nipple under the blower is the easiest way it seems ; )
