Hey guys,
just put a vx calais rear garnish and vx tail lights. Ive got everything one side working fine but the other side the reverse light on the tail light isnt working. Ive changed the bulbs around etc and had a bit of a play but i cant get it too work. Also the garnish has reverse lights in it but i havent got any wiring to attach lights to, just the brake light on the garnish. Can i just drive around without the reverse lights on the garnish? cheers.
Becoz its a vt dude. You will need to run a wire from the other Reverse light that WORKS to the other side. Had to do this in my old vt berlina

but ive got the vx harnesses? so i run a wire from the reverse light that works to the one that doesnt work?
Thats it, everyone who does this modification has the same problem![]()
Its the right side that dont work. ( drivers ) ? Mine was so i just ran a wire under the panel to the wire on the other side and away she went.

my drivers side works its the other one that doesnt. ill try wire it up later on. cheers for the help guys.
Yeh buddy thats what you do, run the reverse wire from the drivers side to the passenger side. Then just rewire your reverse lights to be the park lights in the garnish. Thats what I did with mine and its all sweet.
ok just another quick question. Ive got the taillights working fine but now on the garnish i cant get the red lights to come on at all. I think i hjave the reverse lights in there as it goes red when in reverse. but theres no holes for me to put the lights in the reverse bit? if that makes sense. Also does that mean i have to run another set of lights to the brake part on the garnish?
after some research ive found that the reverse lights on the garnish are just for looks? is that right?
so now how do i make the reverse lights work as brake lights on the garnish? will i need a new harness from holden or somthing like that? cheers
