vt ignition barrel

just finished up replacing the flamin VT ignition barrel for a friend , however the black solenoid part that the barrel tip goes into has been worn down too far by the continued and prolonged use of a screw driver, what are these called "technically" and how much do they go for roughly.. must you buy the whole plug or can you get just the end part??

I think the part you are referring to is the ignition switch. I paid about $27 around 2 years ago, so the are reasonably priced.
